Stowe, a retired textile executive from Belmont, and features huge manicured gardens, natural surroundings, a wooded trail, brilliant fountains, and an Orchid Conservatory. The attractive garden setting has a long history of being used by the locals. Native Americans from the Catawba and Cherokee tribes used to trap, fish, hunt, and raise their families here. Later, early European inhabitants called the area home.
